Our planet is our only home. We are facing tremendous, long-term challenges due to pollution, the climate crisis, and our ongoing population expansion - all of which pose severe threats to the survival of our natural world. Already many of our most beautiful and rare species are under threat of extinction; our continuing dependence on fossil fuels, destruction of water and land habitat, and accumulating non-perishable waste threaten thousands more.

I am committed to doing everything I can to fight this crisis by writing letters, signing online petitions, donating money, and informing family and friends of what we can collectively do to make our planet a healthier place for us and for the creatures who share it with us. You can, too! It doesn't take as much time as you may think and you'll have an enormous impact not only on our immediate future but on the planet's future as a whole. So, please get involved! The Historical Novel Society is god-send to writers and readers of historical fiction. The Society has US and UK branches; publishes two quarterly print magazines and an online review magazine, plus the Society holds bi-annual conferences in the US and UK.
